Blackstone Edge

September 2009

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the September newsletter.

We had a great time at Cleckheaton Folk Festival where we finished the festival in the marquee outside The Marsh. A really good warm evening. We've recorded some video and we'll be putting this along with other interesting material in the new features section of the website at www.blackstoneedge.net To set the ball rolling with this new section, there's a piece by Robin talking all things guitars!

During our August break we made our annual trip to Cropredy sporting our rather fine Cropiggy T-shirts. We still have a few left which we will be putting in the online shop soon.

Onto what we've got coming up..

We'll be headlining The Crown of Lights Festival in Green Park, Heckmondwike on 5th September. Entry is free and entertainment starts around 12 noon. We should be on stage around 8.30pm - more details at http://www.crownoflights.org.uk/

October and we'll be at O'Donaghues in Wakefield on the the 10th and back at The Red Shed on the 17th with special guests to be announced in the next newsletter. We'll then be jetting off to Germany for a couple of shows at the end of the month!

There'll be more dates to follow soon so keep your eye on the website.

Make sure you keep your details up to date on the mailing list by emailing list@blackstoneedge.net if they change.

Also check-out our myspace at www.myspace.com/blackstoneedge

Thanks everyone for you continued support and please help us by passing this newsletter on and telling your friends about shows.

Hope to see you soon
